A computer virus is a program or piece of code that is loaded onto our computer without our knowledge and runs against our wishes
Many computer viruses are stopped before they can start but there is still an ever growing concern as to what do computer viruses do. A computer virus might corrupt or delete data on our computer, use our email program to spread itself to other computer, or even erase everything on our harddisk. Computer viruses are often spread by attachment in email messages or instentmessaging messages.

Spyware is any technology that aids in gathering information about a person or organization without their knowledge.
